Valentine's Day Lockdown for Auckland

What a different start to Week 3!  In what felt like the flick of a switch, we went from sunny carefree days, back into a wet and blustery lockdown.  

I was so impressed with our team... we didn't miss a beat.  Everyone has a good handle on their roles and responsibilities and we seamlessly moved into organising our Bubble School and all that entails.  

I'm so relieved to be back at school, although admittedly it was nice to get onto some of the admin jobs that benefit from having less interruptions.  I also spent time reflecting on how grateful we are to call beautiful Aotearoa home.  

 

Here we go into the weekend with our relative freedoms back again. It’s tough to beat a good Kiwi Summer, with our abundance of BBQ's, beautiful beaches and boating spots, and I've loved hearing stories for the staff and children about what they have been up to over their summer.   

I'm certainly not making any announcements to the staff about a 5 day working week, next week - let's not jinx it. I am thinking of the Papatoetoe School Community and my best wishes are with them as they navigate this challenging time.
